Stratad Asia-Pacific Strategic Centre

Stratad Asia-Pacific Strategic Centre is now a division of the International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals-Centre for Security Studies. Stratad Asia-Pacific Strategic Centre is a verified training support centre by the Ministry of Defence, United Kingdom and is also verified and supported by the Ministry of Defence, Malaysia. SAPSC is the only non-government organization in Malaysia which can carry the government seal of the Ministry of Defence, United Kingdom and the Ministry of Defence Malaysia.

SAPSC has in the past provided security talks, briefings and trainings to foreign military, diplomatic and government security agencies on Political Violence and Terrorism, which included traditional and non-traditional security issues. SAPSC as a Think Tank is an International Relations Centre that provides research and security trainings. Besides the above trainings, SAPSC has provided security briefings to the Armed Forces of Malaysia during its span of 13 years. SAPSC has also presented and provided programs for foreign diplomatic missions in Malaysia as well as foreign military delegates in Malaysia.

SAPSC major training and support to the Ministry of Defence Malaysia was in its training for the Air force Special Forces (PASKAU) in Countering Terrorism. SAPSC has also trained the largest peacekeeping mission to Lebanon, UNIFIL in 2006 comprising senior officers within the contingent of 360 peace-keepers. All UNIFIL peacekeepers from Malaysia carry with them a handbook on security provided by SAPSC and compiled by the Ministry of Defence. SAPSC strategic partners consist of international Think Tanks who collaborate in many conferences and research programs.
