French International Visitor’s Programme For Defense

Andrin Raj was officially invited by the Ministry of Defence, Delegation for Strategic Affairs France under the International Visitor’s Programme for Defence. Andrin Raj was nominated by the French Embassy here in Kuala Lumpur to participate in the programme. Andrin Raj was the 20th participant under the programme since it was initiated by the Ministry of Defence.

The programme consisted of a learning process of the defense and security involvements of the French Defence Ministry and current security related trainings and programs. One of the core areas was the French Counter Terrorism efforts in addressing political violence and terrorism which also included maritime security threats.

Mr. Raj also presented on security threats in the ASEAN region pertaining to political violence and terrorism and the threats of radicalization and extremism in Southeast Asia. The programme was fully sponsored by the Ministry of Defence France.
